About the event
Checkmate: Silchar Chess Festival 2026 is a youth chess festival presented by Anahad, in collaboration with the Cachar District Chess Association (CDCA). Played in the Rapid format, the festival brings together young players for head-to-head matches across Open and Age categories, with cash prizes, Best School and Best Chess Academy awards, and category-wise recognition for U-7, U-9, and U-11 players. Beyond the board, it's built to grow strategic thinking, problem-solving, and confidence through competition — plus a chance to meet other young minds and build lasting connections.
